How would you describe your style in three words?
Timeless, casual, unexpected.
Where do you take inspiration from when designing for Norte?
I usually imagine a situation such as a wedding, a trip to the market, or friends having dinner together, and I imagine how I would like to see people dressed. Inspiration usually comes from silhouettes of the past and from colors in nature.
How would you describe the Norte woman?
She is an independent woman, that likes investing in timeless pieces made in natural fabrics and likes feeling elegant always, even for casual, everyday situations.
Do you approach designing interiors differently than you do clothes?
I think I have the same style. I love selecting natural fabrics and materials in my house, for example linen and wood. Most of the pieces are minimalistic but I love adding unexpected bold details in lamps, cushions, and other decorative objects. Almost every piece has a story, and I am never very impulsive when buying for my home.
What is on the horizon for you now that we are returning to life that resembles one pre-Covid?
This year has felt very different both at a personal level and for Norte. I am excited to travel to Spain this summer where I find so much inspiration to create. On the business side, it’s been great to be able to contact with customers in person again. We have many plans for the near future, stay tuned!
